Little Chefs: Breakfast for Dinner

Who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner? Get your little chef in the kitchen with friends for some fun with breakfast foods! We will be mixing up a homemade pancake batter and learning some tricks for making perfectly fluffy and golden pancakes every time (with adult supervision). Class participants will also be assembling a fruit and yogurt parfait using a variety of toppings of their choice. We’re willing to bet that once your little one has mastered these recipes, your Sunday mornings (or Tuesday nights) will never be the same!

What’s on the Menu:

• Fluffiest Golden Pancakes
• Fruit & Yogurt Parfaits

Craft: Painted Pet Rocks

Important Notes:

• Kids should come to class wearing closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that can get a little messy. Aprons will be provided. We will be tasting the foods that we prepare, so please make us aware of any dietary restrictions, if they apply to your child.
• Please note that we do our best to accommodate substitutions for food allergies, but due to cost and class time limitations, we may not be able to offer alternative ingredients/recipes for every dietary restriction. Please contact us before registering your child to confirm availability.
• Recommended ages 7 to 12. Exceptions may apply case by case, please contact cstose@577foundation.org with questions.

577 Staff Instructor: Kelly Rose Hirsh

She loves to experiment in the kitchen with her children, learning about the food science, techniques, traditions, and history of each recipe, as well as sharing lessons on manners, etiquette, and the art of entertaining that she learned from her mother and grandmothers. Kelly is always looking for more reasons to gather around the table with friends and family and hopes to inspire others to do the same.

REFUND POLICY:

Important Considerations: As a small non-profit organization, we strive to keep class sizes small and affordable. Please only register for classes you will be able to attend, and reserve cancellations for emergencies and illnesses. Even with the waitlist that we offer for most classes, when you cancel out of a class, the other excited potential participants may have made other plans because the class is full.

This refund policy was established to honor 577's Instructors, to respect the time and energy they invest in preparing for each class, and to encourage class participants to weigh their class registrations carefully and in balance with other potential participants.

If you choose to withdraw from a class, the refund policies are as follows:

Refund via the Original Method of Payment ~ Credit Card, Cash, or Check*:
>>> 100% refund with seven (7) or more business days’ notice prior to the start of class, less a 5% administrative fee.
>>> 50% refund with three (3) to six (6) business days' notice prior to the start of class, less a 5% administrative fee. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund, less a 5% administrative fee.)
>>> No refunds will be given for cancellations two (2) business days prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund, less a 5% administrative fee.)

Refund via Household Credit to use on another class at a future date*:
>>> 100% refund as a Household Credit with seven (7) or more business days’ notice prior to the start of class.
>>> 50% refund as a Household Credit with three (3) to six (6) business days' notice prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund.)
>>> No refunds will be given for cancellations two (2) business days prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund via Household Credit.)

*Exceptions may be made to this policy in extreme circumstances. Please contact us to discuss options for cancellation in the event of illness or emergency.

**Once a refund is processed as a Household Credit, you may not request a refund via a credit card, cash, or check at a later date.

Donations: In lieu of a refund, you may request your registration fee be donated back to 577 to support future educational programming and a scholarship fund designed to make classes available to all.
