Pottery & Watercolor ~ Handmade Palette & Paint

Program is Full
Unleash your creativity in this engaging, open-to-all, two-part workshop where you'll craft your own paint and palette from scratch!

PART ONE: Sculpt Your Paint Palette in the Pottery Studio
Join us on Wednesday, December 4 for a hands-on session creating a custom paint palette that holds up to 12 colors best for water-soluble paints. You will also create two small cups perfect for rinsing brushes. Or why not have a little fun? Keep one for your favorite beverage and use the other for cleaning ~ double the creativity, double the utility! Choose between a classic white or a speckled off-white glaze. Your class instructor, Julie Beutlter, 577 Program Manager & Ceramic Artist, will be there to guide you through the process, then will fire and glaze your pieces in time for part two of the workshop.

PART TWO: Create and Paint with Custom Watercolors in Virginia's House
In the second session on Wednesday, December 18, we will gather at Virginia's House to put your new palettes to work. Watercolor artist and 577's Program Manager Connie Stose will guide you through the process of adding five different watercolor paints, including one you'll create from scratch. Engage in fun exercises, delve into captivating color history, and explore the basics of color theory. Conclude the session by painting your own color wheel for future reference.

This class is open to all adults over 18, no prerequisite or experience is required. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn new skills in a supportive and inspiring environment!

REFUND POLICY:

Important Considerations: As a small non-profit organization, we strive to keep class sizes small and affordable. Please only register for classes you will be able to attend, and reserve cancellations for emergencies and illnesses. Even with the waitlist that we offer for most classes, when you cancel out of a class, the other excited potential participants may have made other plans because the class is full.

This refund policy was established to honor 577's Instructors, to respect the time and energy they invest in preparing for each class, and to encourage class participants to weigh their class registrations carefully and in balance with other potential participants.

If you choose to withdraw from a class, the refund policies are as follows:

Refund via the Original Method of Payment ~ Credit Card, Cash, or Check*:
>>> 100% refund with seven (7) or more business days’ notice prior to the start of class, less a 5% administrative fee.
>>> 50% refund with three (3) to six (6) business days' notice prior to the start of class, less a 5% administrative fee. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund, less a 5% administrative fee.)
>>> No refunds will be given for cancellations two (2) business days prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund, less a 5% administrative fee.)

Refund via Household Credit to use on another class at a future date*:
>>> 100% refund as a Household Credit with seven (7) or more business days’ notice prior to the start of class.
>>> 50% refund as a Household Credit with three (3) to six (6) business days' notice prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund.)
>>> No refunds will be given for cancellations two (2) business days prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund via Household Credit.)

*Exceptions may be made to this policy in extreme circumstances. Please contact us to discuss options for cancellation in the event of illness or emergency.

**Once a refund is processed as a Household Credit, you may not request a refund via a credit card, cash, or check at a later date.

Donations: In lieu of a refund, you may request your registration fee be donated back to 577 to support future educational programming and a scholarship fund designed to make classes available to all.
