A yearly favorite ~ Clay Snowpeople is back! Join us for this hands-on class making adorable pinch pot-style snowpeople. Your instructor Julie Beutler, 577 Pottery Manager and Ceramic Artist, will walk you through the basics of making the body. Then, Julie will demonstrate several ways to accent them with several styles of scarves, hats, mittens, and other cute ideas.
Depending on the details you choose to incorporate into your piece, including the opportunity to paint your snowperson and accessories with underglazes, you will make either one or two. Your snowpeople will be perfect for gifting or adding a touch of charm to your decor. These are so cute that you will want to leave them out year-round!
Pieces will be left with your instructors to fire in the kiln. Once bisque fired, they will be glazed in clear which will keep your clay body white like snow, and then they are fired again. You will receive an email when they are ready for pick up, estimated 14 to 18 days later.
This class is perfect for all levels, no prior clay experience is required. Come play in the clay!

REFUND POLICY:
Important Considerations: As a small non-profit organization, we strive to keep class sizes small and affordable. Please only register for classes you will be able to attend, and reserve cancellations for emergencies and illnesses. Even with the waitlist that we offer for most classes, when you cancel out of a class, the other excited potential participants may have made other plans because the class is full.
This refund policy was established to honor 577's Instructors, to respect the time and energy they invest in preparing for each class, and to encourage class participants to weigh their class registrations carefully and in balance with other potential participants.
If you choose to withdraw from a class, the refund policies are as follows:
Refund via the Original Method of Payment ~ Credit Card, Cash, or Check*:
>>> 100% refund with seven (7) or more business days’ notice prior to the start of class, less a 5% administrative fee.
>>> 50% refund with three (3) to six (6) business days' notice prior to the start of class, less a 5% administrative fee. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund, less a 5% administrative fee.)
>>> No refunds will be given for cancellations two (2) business days prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund, less a 5% administrative fee.)
Refund via Household Credit to use on another class at a future date*:
>>> 100% refund as a Household Credit with seven (7) or more business days’ notice prior to the start of class.
>>> 50% refund as a Household Credit with three (3) to six (6) business days' notice prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund.)
>>> No refunds will be given for cancellations two (2) business days prior to the start of class. (If we can fill your spot with another participant, you will receive a 100% refund via Household Credit.)
