September Pottery to Go - Custom Design by You!

Prerequisite: To register for this class, participants must have successfully completed the 577 Adult 18+ Pottery 6-Week Class.

Try this unique at-home class that allows participants a chance to work from the comfort of their home strengthening their pottery skills. The only (mostly) limits are your imagination.

This class is designed to be what you want to make. Experiment with new forms, work out a pattern, or work on more labor-intensive techniques like sgraffito or coils. It's your clay to create what you would like.

Looking for inspiration? Julie can share videos from previous Pottery-to-Go classes featuring projects such as pinch pot animals, slab plates, coil pots, and more. Email Julie prior to class to receive links to the projects that interest you.

In this “work from your home” class, we will supply you with all the tools and resources you need to make this project: clay, pottery tools, drywall board, plastic bags, a few short videos if you choose, plus email support from Julie. Optional: underglazes are available for an additional fee.

Important Note: For those interested in this class, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND completing 15 to 20 hours of indie studio time and a few other pottery classes before signing up for these at-home classes (in addition to the required 577 six-week class).

Choose from two options for finishes:
• $35 class includes the supply kit. Choose this option if you own your own underglazes. Please note: For this Pottery-To-Go class, you will do your own glazing which should allow you to make more than the usual recommended four (4) to five (5) pieces.
• Optional Add-On to $35 class: $15 fee adds 8 small containers of underglazes - white, orange, yellow, red, blue, brown, green, and black. For this Pottery-To-Go class, you will do your own glazing.

Supply pickup and project drop-off for this class will take place using your key fob.

CLASS INFO:
Material Pick Up: Friday, September 4
Return Projects/Materials: Friday, September 25

Important Class Reminder: This class no longer counts toward the three classes needed to keep Indie Time privileges.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

577 offers a wide variety of classes with intentionally small class sizes to create meaningful learning experiences. Because space is limited, we ask participants to register thoughtfully and review our registration, cancellation, refund, accessibility, accommodation, and illness policies before completing registration.

Life happens, and we understand that plans sometimes change. Our policies are designed to keep classes affordable, respect the time our instructors invest in preparing for each class, and provide opportunities for waitlisted participants whenever possible.

577 is committed to creating welcoming and inclusive experiences for all participants. If you have accessibility needs or require reasonable accommodations to fully participate, we encourage you to contact us before your class so we can work with you to provide appropriate support whenever possible.

Our complete policies are available on our website and are also included in the Notes section below and on your registration receipt.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We ask participants to register only for classes they plan to attend and to reserve cancellations for emergencies or unexpected circumstances. As a small nonprofit, we intentionally keep class sizes small and affordable. Late cancellations often prevent others from participating and impact instructors who have already prepared for class. We recognize that emergencies and unexpected conflicts happen, and exceptions may be considered in extraordinary circumstances.

>>> If your class is 6 or fewer days away, please call us immediately at (419) 874-4174.
>>> If your class is 7 or more days away, cancellations may be emailed to hello@577foundation.org.

PLEASE NOTE:
>>> Please use the main phone number or email address above. Contacting individual staff members or other extensions may delay your request. Online cancellations are not available.

>>> Refund eligibility is based on how close your cancellation request is to the class date. Please see the Refund Policy below.

>>> Once your registration has been accepted, a 5% administrative fee applies to refunds issued to the original payment method (credit card, cash, or check), regardless of the reason for cancellation.

>>> Receive a 100% Household Credit to your account for a future class.
